These Terms of Service are the agreement between your business and CargoScope LLC for using SalesScope. Here is the short version; the numbered sections below are what apply.

In short

  • SalesScope is for businesses. You own your data; we process it only to run the service for you.
  • Email goes out through mailboxes you connect, so you are the sender, responsible for following the law and our Acceptable Use Policy.
  • Every new company gets a 14-day free trial, with no card needed. Paid plans renew until you cancel, and then run to the end of the paid period.
  • If a payment fails, you have 7 days to fix it. After that, sending pauses and the account is locked, but nothing is deleted.
  • When an account is closed, we delete its data within 30 days.

1. About these Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) are an agreement between CargoScope LLC (“SalesScope”, “we”, “us”), a Georgia (USA) limited liability company, and the business that signs up for or uses SalesScope (“Customer”, “you”). SalesScope is a product of CargoScope LLC. The Terms cover the SalesScope app, its interfaces and our support (together, the “Service”), and the website at salesscope.io.

You accept these Terms when you create an account, choose a plan or use the Service. If you accept them for a company or other organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind it, and “you” means that organization. If you do not have that authority, or do not agree, do not use the Service. People you invite to your account (your “users”) must use the Service in line with these Terms, and you are responsible for them.

These documents form part of the Terms:

  • the Acceptable Use Policy, which sets the rules for what you may send;
  • the Refund and Cancellation Policy;
  • the Data Processing Addendum, which applies whenever Customer Data includes personal data.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle the personal data we control, such as account and billing details. If we sign a separate written agreement or order form with you, it takes precedence over these Terms where the two conflict.

2. Definitions

Account
Your company’s SalesScope account, including its workspaces, users, plan and billing settings.
Workspace
A space inside an account with its own sheets, contacts, campaigns, sequences and mailboxes. Company plans can have several.
User
A person you invite to your account or allow to use it, such as an employee or contractor.
Customer Data
Everything you or your users put into the Service, and what the Service collects for you: contacts, notes, calls, templates, emails sent and received through connected mailboxes, and email events such as opens, clicks, replies and unsubscribes.
Connected mailbox
An email account you link to SalesScope, through Google sign-in, Microsoft sign-in or SMTP, so that SalesScope can send from it.

3. Who may use SalesScope

SalesScope is a business tool. You may use it only for your trade, business or profession, including as a freelancer or sole trader, and not as a consumer. You and every user must be at least 18 years old.

You may not use the Service if the laws of the United States or another country that applies to you prohibit it. By using it, you confirm that you are not in a country under a comprehensive US embargo or on a US list of restricted parties.

We may decline to open an account or to extend a trial, for example where we have reason to believe the account would be used to send unsolicited bulk email.

4. Accounts, users and seats

  • Accurate details. Give accurate account and billing information and keep it up to date.
  • Admins. Each account has at least one admin, who manages users, roles, mailboxes, settings and billing and can see everyone’s work in the account. We may treat any admin’s instructions as yours.
  • Users and roles. You decide who may use your account and with which role (admin, manager or member). You are responsible for everything your users do in the Service and for making sure they follow these Terms.
  • One person per login. Each user signs in with their own login. Logins are personal and must not be shared.
  • Security. Keep passwords and devices secure. Tell us straight away at security@salesscope.io if you suspect someone has gained access to your account without permission.
  • Seats. On the Team and Company plans, each person in the account takes a seat. Inviting someone adds a seat and removing someone takes one away; section 9 explains how this is billed. Company plans are billed for at least 10 seats.

5. Your data

You own your data

As between you and us, you own Customer Data. We claim no ownership of it.

The license you give us

You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, transmit, display and otherwise process Customer Data only as needed to provide, secure and support the Service for you; to carry out your instructions, such as sending an email you scheduled; to prevent abuse, fraud and security incidents; and to comply with the law. This license ends when the data is deleted under section 12.

Personal data

Where Customer Data includes personal data, we process it as your processor (or service provider) under the Data Processing Addendum. Our Privacy Policy covers the data we handle as a controller, such as account, billing and website data.

Your responsibilities for Customer Data

You are responsible for Customer Data: its accuracy and quality, and your right to collect it, upload it and use it in SalesScope, including any notices and consents the law requires. Unless we agree in writing, do not put into SalesScope special categories of personal data (such as health information, or information about racial or ethnic origin, religion or sexual orientation), government identification numbers, payment card numbers, or passwords for other services.

Service data

We collect technical and usage information about how the Service runs, such as logs and sending statistics like bounce rates, and use it to operate, secure, support and improve SalesScope. We do not sell it, and anything we publish from it is aggregated and de-identified. Public facts about internet domains, such as whether a domain has mail servers, are not Customer Data, and we reuse them across accounts.

6. Connected mailboxes

SalesScope sends email through mailboxes you connect. It is not a shared sending service. When you connect a mailbox:

  • You authorize us to use it for you. You authorize SalesScope to send email from the mailbox as you instruct — campaigns, sequences, replies, one-off emails and inbox placement tests — and, for Gmail, Google Workspace, Outlook.com and Microsoft 365 mailboxes, to read incoming messages to find the replies, bounces and auto-replies to that email, as the Privacy Policy describes. For Outlook.com and Microsoft 365, sending means saving each email as a draft in the mailbox and then sending it.
  • You have the right to connect it. You confirm that you own the mailbox, or that its owner and your organization have authorized you to connect it and send from it.
  • Your provider’s terms still apply. You remain bound by your mail provider’s terms and policies, including its sending limits and bulk sender requirements. SalesScope’s limits are designed to keep each mailbox inside its provider’s published limits, but following your provider’s rules is your responsibility.
  • Providers make their own decisions. A provider may limit or close a mailbox, refuse or delay mail, or file it as spam. We are not responsible for a provider’s decisions, outages or changes. Features also differ by provider: mailboxes connected through SMTP can send, but SalesScope does not read their replies.
  • You can disconnect at any time. Disconnecting a mailbox in SalesScope deletes its stored credentials straight away.

7. Lawful outreach and acceptable use

You are the sender of every email that goes out through your connected mailboxes, and you are responsible for your outreach and its content. In particular, you must:

  • have consent or another lawful basis, as the law requires where each person is, for collecting their details and for contacting them;
  • comply with every anti-spam, privacy, data protection, marketing and telephone law that applies to your outreach — including, where they apply, the US CAN-SPAM Act, the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation, the EU ePrivacy rules as each country implements them, the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), Australia’s Spam Act 2003 and India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023;
  • identify yourself accurately as the sender, include the information the law requires (such as a valid postal address in commercial email under CAN-SPAM), and honor every opt-out promptly;
  • not remove, hide or interfere with the unsubscribe link and headers SalesScope adds to campaign and sequence emails;
  • follow the Acceptable Use Policy.

SalesScope’s guardrails — the warm-up ramp, daily sending limits, address checks, the bounce circuit breaker and opt-out handling — help you send responsibly, but they do not make your outreach lawful on their own. Our cold email compliance guide is general information, not legal advice. If you are unsure what the law requires of you, ask a lawyer.

The dialer opens calls in your own phone or softphone app. SalesScope does not place, carry or record calls. You are responsible for following the laws that apply to your calls, including do-not-call rules and any rules on recording.

8. The Service and support

  • Availability. We work to keep SalesScope available and reliable, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and there is no service level agreement unless we sign one with you.
  • Changes to the Service. We may add, change or remove features. If a change would materially reduce the core functionality of a paid plan, we will tell your admins at least 30 days ahead where we reasonably can.
  • Sending is not delivery. SalesScope hands your email to your mail provider; we cannot guarantee that it is accepted, delivered or placed in the inbox. Address checks look at an address and its domain; they cannot confirm that a particular inbox exists.
  • Support. Support is by email at support@salesscope.io. We aim to reply promptly on business days, but response times are not guaranteed unless agreed in writing.

9. Plans, trial and fees

Plans

Our plans, their prices and their limits on people, workspaces, mailboxes and contacts are shown on the pricing page and on the billing page in the app. The Service enforces these limits. You cannot move to a plan smaller than what your account already uses.

The free trial

Every new company gets a 14-day free trial, with no card needed. During the trial the account has one workspace, two mailboxes and 25,000 contacts, and each mailbox can send up to 100 emails a day. If you have not chosen a paid plan when the trial ends, the account is locked as described below, and nothing is deleted. There is one trial per company. We may end or refuse a trial that is being used to get around plan limits or to send unsolicited bulk email.

Fees and payment

Fees are charged in advance for each billing period, monthly or yearly; a yearly plan costs ten times the monthly price. Solo is priced per account, and Team and Company per seat. Prices are in US dollars, or in Indian rupees for companies in India. Payments are processed by Stripe, and card details never reach SalesScope. By subscribing, you authorize us, through Stripe, to charge your payment method for the fees, renewals and changes these Terms describe.

Seats and extra mailboxes

When seats change, the subscription follows, prorated. On a yearly plan, an added seat is charged straight away; on a monthly plan, it goes on the next invoice. A removed seat becomes a prorated credit on a later invoice. Each seat includes its plan’s mailboxes (5 on Team, 10 on Company), and mailboxes kept beyond that allowance are billed as extra seats.

Renewal

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period, for a period of the same length, at the price then in effect, until you cancel. The billing portal shows your next renewal date and amount.

Taxes

Prices are before tax. You are responsible for all sales, use, value-added, goods and services and similar taxes on the fees, such as GST on rupee prices, except taxes on our income. Where we must collect a tax, it is added to your invoice. If you give us a tax ID, such as a VAT number or GSTIN, you confirm that it is correct; reverse-charge rules may then apply.

Upgrades, downgrades and proration

  • Upgrades are charged straight away, prorated for the rest of the current period, and take effect once that payment goes through. If your bank asks you to confirm the payment, the app shows a link to do it.
  • Downgrades take effect straight away, and the unused value of the higher plan becomes a credit against your next invoices. Credits are not paid out in cash.
  • Switching between monthly and yearly keeps your renewal date. The new price is prorated up to that date and settled the same way: charged if it costs more, credited if it costs less.

Failed payments and locked accounts

If a payment fails, a 7-day grace period starts. Everything keeps working while Stripe retries the card, and admins see a banner asking them to update it. If the payment has still not gone through after 7 days, the subscription is cancelled and the account is locked. An account is also locked when a trial ends without a plan, and when a cancelled plan reaches the end of its paid period. In a locked account:

  • sending pauses;
  • nothing new can be added — no people, mailboxes, workspaces or contacts, and nothing restored from the bin;
  • nothing is deleted, and admins can still sign in, read and export the account’s data.

Everything resumes as soon as you pay or choose a plan. If an account stays locked for 90 days or more, we may close it, but only after emailing its admins at least 30 days in advance. Closing it then follows section 12.

Price changes

We may change our prices. A new price applies to an existing subscription only from its first renewal at least 30 days after we have told your admins by email. If you do not want to pay the new price, you can cancel before that renewal.

10. Cancellation and refunds

An admin can cancel a subscription at any time from the billing portal, which opens from Plan & billing in the app. The plan keeps running to the end of the period you have paid for and is not renewed; after that, the account is locked as described in section 9.

Payments are non-refundable except as set out in our Refund and Cancellation Policy. For example, duplicate charges and billing errors are refunded in full. Nothing in these Terms limits a refund that the law requires.

To close your account entirely and have its data deleted, an admin can write to support@salesscope.io. A paid plan that is still running must be cancelled first.

11. Suspension and termination

Suspension

We may pause sending from a mailbox, campaign, workspace or account, or suspend access to all or part of the Service, if we reasonably believe that:

  • you or your users are breaching these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy;
  • your use poses a security risk to the Service or to others, or threatens the sending reputation of other customers or harms the people you email;
  • your use could expose us or our providers to legal liability;
  • a payment is overdue after the grace period; or
  • the law, a court, a regulator or a mail provider requires it.

Where we reasonably can, we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix the problem. In urgent cases, such as an active spam run or a compromised account, or where the law does not allow notice, we may act first and explain afterwards. We limit a suspension to what is reasonably needed and lift it once the cause is resolved. Automatic pauses by SalesScope’s guardrails, such as the bounce circuit breaker, are part of how the Service works, not suspensions.

Termination by you

You may stop using the Service and cancel at any time, as section 10 describes.

Termination by us

We may end these Terms and close your account:

  • for any reason, with at least 30 days’ notice, in which case we refund any fees you prepaid for the period after closure;
  • by notice, if you materially breach these Terms and do not fix the breach within 10 days after we tell you about it;
  • straight away, by notice, if the breach cannot be fixed or involves spam, phishing, fraud, other illegal activity or a security threat; or
  • by notice, if you become insolvent or stop doing business.

What happens when the Terms end

Your right to use the Service ends, and section 12 governs your data. Fees that became due before the end remain payable. Every provision that by its nature should survive does so, including those on fees owed, confidentiality, intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity and governing law.

12. Data export and deletion

While your account is open, including while it is locked, admins can export contacts and other data as CSV from the app. If you need something you cannot export yourself, write to support@salesscope.io and we will help where we reasonably can.

When your account is closed, whether because you asked or because these Terms ended, we delete Customer Data from our live systems within 30 days. Copies in backups are deleted as those backups roll off on their own schedule; until then they remain protected under these Terms and are used only to restore the Service after a failure. We may keep what we need to meet legal obligations, such as invoices and billing records for tax purposes, and to resolve disputes or enforce these Terms.

Export what you need before you ask us to close the account. Deletion cannot be undone.

13. Confidentiality

“Confidential Information” means non-public information one party shares with the other under these Terms that is marked confidential or that a reasonable person would understand to be confidential. Customer Data is your Confidential Information; the non-public parts of the Service and our security information are ours.

The recipient will use the other party’s Confidential Information only to perform these Terms or exercise its rights under them, protect it with at least reasonable care, and share it only with employees, contractors, subprocessors and advisers who need it and are bound by similar confidentiality duties. These duties do not cover information that is or becomes public through no fault of the recipient, that it already knew or developed independently, or that it lawfully received from someone else without a duty of confidence. A recipient may disclose Confidential Information when the law requires, after giving prompt notice where the law allows.

14. Our intellectual property and feedback

We and our licensors own the Service, including its software, design and documentation, the SalesScope name and logo, and all improvements to them. Subject to these Terms and to payment of the fees, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right for your users to use the Service for your business during your subscription.

You must not copy, modify or make derivative works of the Service; reverse engineer it, except where the law allows despite this restriction; use it to build a competing product; resell, sublicense or rent it, or make it available to anyone outside your organization; or remove any proprietary notices.

Agencies may use SalesScope to run outreach for their own clients, provided the agency is the Customer, has each client’s authority for every mailbox and list it uses, and stays responsible under these Terms for that outreach.

If you send us ideas, suggestions or other feedback, we may use them freely and without any obligation to you. Nothing in this section gives us rights in Customer Data.

15. Third-party services

The Service works with services run by other companies, including Google (Gmail and Google Workspace), Microsoft (Outlook.com and Microsoft 365), mail providers you connect by SMTP, Stripe, and the providers on our subprocessors page. Your use of a service you connect, such as your mail provider, is governed by your own agreement with that provider.

We are not responsible for third-party services, their availability or their changes. If a provider changes or withdraws something SalesScope relies on, or requires an approval we do not yet have (for example, Google’s verification of apps that use Gmail data), the related feature may be limited or unavailable until that is resolved.

16. Early-access and beta features

We may offer features or access labeled early access, beta, preview or similar, including free access to SalesScope before its public launch. These are provided as they are. They may not work as expected, may change or end at any time, and, to the extent the law allows, are excluded from any commitments we make about the Service. If your company has free early access, we will tell you before it ends, and you will get a trial period before any payment is due.

17. Warranties and disclaimers

Each party confirms that it has the authority to enter into these Terms. We will provide the Service with reasonable skill and care, and we will not materially reduce the overall security of the Service during your subscription.

Except as these Terms expressly state, and to the maximum extent the law allows, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, and we disclaim all other warranties, whether express, implied or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free; that any email will be delivered or reach the inbox; that address checks are complete or accurate; that any mailbox or domain will keep its sending reputation; or that using the Service will produce any particular result, such as replies, meetings or sales.

18. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent the law allows:

  • Neither party is liable to the other for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, business, goodwill or anticipated savings, or loss or corruption of data, however caused, even if it was told such loss was possible.
  • Each party’s total liability arising out of or relating to these Terms and the Service, whether in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise, is limited to the fees you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim arose.

These limits do not apply to your obligation to pay fees; your obligations under section 19 (indemnity); your breach of section 7 or of the Acceptable Use Policy; either party’s liability for fraud, gross negligence or willful misconduct; or any liability that the law does not allow to be limited or excluded.

19. Your indemnity

You will defend CargoScope LLC, its affiliates and their officers, employees and contractors against any claim, demand, investigation or proceeding brought by a third party — including a regulator, a mail provider or a person you contacted — arising from:

  • Customer Data, or the content of the email you send;
  • your outreach, including any claim that it breached anti-spam, privacy, data protection, marketing or telephone laws;
  • your or your users’ breach of these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy; or
  • your use of a mailbox, domain or data you were not authorized to use.

You will also pay, to the extent the law allows, the damages, fines, penalties, settlements and reasonable costs, including reasonable lawyers’ fees, that result. We will tell you promptly about the claim, let you control its defense and settlement, and give you reasonable help at your expense. You may not settle a claim in a way that admits fault on our behalf or places obligations on us without our written consent.

20. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. For a material change, we will tell your admins by email or in the app at least 30 days before it takes effect, unless the law or a security or abuse issue requires it sooner. Other changes take effect when we publish them. The effective date at the top of this page shows when the Terms last changed.

If you do not agree to a material change, you can cancel before it takes effect. If you keep using the Service after a change takes effect, you accept the updated Terms.

21. Governing law and venue

These Terms, and any dispute arising out of or relating to them or to the Service, are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.

The state and federal courts located in Georgia have exclusive jurisdiction over any such dispute, and each party consents to their personal jurisdiction and to venue there. Either party may still ask any court with jurisdiction for an injunction or other urgent relief to protect its intellectual property or Confidential Information.

22. Notices

We send notices to the email addresses of your account’s admins, or show them in the app. Keep those addresses current. Send legal notices to us by email at legal@salesscope.io. An email notice is treated as received on the next business day after it was sent, unless the sender receives a message saying it could not be delivered.

23. General terms

  • Assignment. Neither party may assign these Terms without the other’s written consent, except to an affiliate or to a successor in a merger, acquisition or sale of all or substantially all of its business or assets, with notice to the other party. Any other attempted assignment is void.
  • Force majeure. Neither party is liable for a delay or failure to perform, other than paying, caused by events beyond its reasonable control, such as natural disasters, war, civil unrest, government action, epidemics, failures of the internet or of hosting, network or mail providers, and denial-of-service attacks.
  • Entire agreement. These Terms, with the documents they include and any written agreement we sign with you, are the entire agreement between us about the Service and replace any earlier agreements on that subject. Terms in your purchase orders do not apply.
  • Severability and waiver. If any part of these Terms is unenforceable, it is enforced to the extent possible and the rest stays in effect. Not enforcing a right is not a waiver of it.
  • Relationship. The parties are independent contractors, and nobody else has rights under these Terms, except as the Data Processing Addendum provides for data subjects.
  • Publicity. We will not use your name or logo to promote SalesScope without your written permission.
  • Language. The English version of these Terms controls. Headings are for convenience only.
