Looking for a Smartlead alternative? Smartlead prices its plans by emails sent and contacts stored, with unlimited email accounts on every plan and unlimited team members from Pro. Around that it sells a CRM board, a power dialer, inbox placement tests, dedicated servers and client workspaces. SalesScope has a different shape: one spreadsheet-style sheet where each rep’s leads, calls, follow-ups and campaigns live on the same rows, priced per person with mailboxes included.
Quick verdict
- Choose Smartlead if you run many mailboxes or many clients: unlimited accounts on every plan, a private warm-up pool, client workspaces with white-labeling, a lead finder, and a dialer that records and transcribes calls.
- Choose SalesScope if a sales team works one pipeline and wants the sheet, the call queue, Today’s follow-ups and the inbox in one place, with every address checked before a bulk send and rupee pricing for India.

Where Smartlead is strong
Smartlead is ahead of SalesScope in several places.
- Unlimited mailboxes at a flat price. Every plan connects unlimited email accounts with no per-mailbox charge. Pro is US$94 a month for 30,000 contacts and 90,000 sends; Unlimited Smart is US$174 for unlimited contacts and 150,000 sends.
- A curated warm-up pool. Smartlead describes a private, reward-based pool that only vetted senders join, with warm-up that pauses on bounce spikes or spam flags.
- A dialer that records. SmartDialer buys local US numbers, records and transcribes calls, and queues leads that reach a call step, showing their local time.
- Agencies. Client workspaces, white-labeling and client logins that show each client only their own campaigns and mailboxes.
- Lead data. Unlimited Smart includes 50,000 verified prospect emails a month from its SmartProspect finder; on Base and Pro they are a US$59 add-on.
- Infrastructure and integrations. Mailboxes, dedicated servers (US$39 a month each) and placement tests are sold in-app, and the API and webhooks come with Pro and up.
Like SalesScope, Smartlead connects Gmail, Outlook and SMTP mailboxes.
Where SalesScope is different
One sheet instead of separate boards and queues
In Smartlead, deals live on the Smart Funnel board and calls on SmartDialer’s queues, beside your campaigns. In SalesScope every contact is a row in one spreadsheet-style sheet with stages, owners and your own columns. Press Dialer and those rows become the call queue; start a campaign and the same rows are its audience; replies, call outcomes and stage changes land on the row’s timeline.
Today and reminders
Each rep starts from Today: the day’s calls, follow-ups, meetings and tasks, overdue first. A booked callback or meeting rings 10 minutes before and again at the time, and call and task steps from a sequence land in the same list.
Checks that come with the plan
Smartlead sells verification as credit packs. SalesScope checks every address before a campaign or sequence can enroll it — syntax, typos of major providers, disposable and role addresses, the domain’s mail servers, and your own bounce and unsubscribe history — at no extra cost. It checks the address and its domain rather than probing the mailbox. See email verification.
A breaker that is on by default
Smartlead’s bounce protection is a setting you switch on per campaign. SalesScope’s breaker is on by default and judges each mailbox on everything it sent in the past 7 days. Once a mailbox has at least 50 sends and its bounce rate passes the workspace’s limit (5% by default), it goes on a 48-hour hold, every active sequence on it pauses, and its owner is emailed. Those sequences stay paused until the rest of their audience has been validated and someone resumes them.
One sending limit per mailbox
Every mailbox shows one number for what it can still send today, with the reason that binds it: the warm-up ramp, the provider’s ceiling (Gmail 500 a day, Google Workspace 1,500 by default, Outlook.com 300), a person’s cap or the mailbox’s own setting. See deliverability guardrails.
Roles that decide what each person sees
On Team and Company, admins run the company, managers work the team’s pipeline, and members see only the leads assigned to them — enforced by the database, not just hidden in the screen. Plans are priced per person in US dollars or, for companies in India, rupees: ₹1,999 per person a month on Team, before GST.
Pricing compared
List prices as of October 2026, before tax. One Smartlead plan covers the account; team members and the CRM start on Pro, so Base is left out of the team examples. SmartDialer plans start at US$9 a month in credits; heavier calling costs more and isn’t counted here. SalesScope Team is US$39 per person a month, or US$390 per person a year.
A team of 3
- SalesScope Team: 3 × US$39 = US$117 a month, or 3 × US$390 = US$1,170 a year, with 15 mailboxes and 250,000 contacts.
- Smartlead Pro: US$94 a month, or about US$78 a month billed yearly (US$939.60 a year): unlimited mailboxes, 30,000 contacts, 90,000 sends a month. With the smallest SmartDialer plan: US$94 + US$9 = US$103 a month.
A team of 10
- SalesScope Team: 10 × US$39 = US$390 a month, or US$3,900 a year, with 50 mailboxes. Company (a workspace per team or client, no contact limit): 10 × US$69 = US$690 a month, or US$6,900 a year.
- Smartlead: still US$94 a month on Pro if 30,000 contacts and 90,000 sends are enough. Unlimited Smart is US$174 a month, or about US$144 billed yearly, for unlimited contacts and 150,000 sends.
Read plainly: on list price Smartlead costs less for a team of three or more, and the gap widens with headcount and mailbox count. SalesScope bills mailboxes beyond a seat’s five as extra seats, so one person with 30 mailboxes on Team is 6 seats, or US$234 a month. SalesScope’s price pays for each rep’s sheet, call queue, Today and validation; it fits when every rep uses them. For one person with three mailboxes, SalesScope Solo at US$19 a month costs less than Smartlead Base at US$39, which has no CRM or API. Our cold email capacity calculator shows how many mailboxes a plan needs.
Switching from Smartlead to SalesScope
- Export your leads. Open a campaign’s lead list in Smartlead, filter it if you like, and export it to CSV, as Smartlead’s own lesson shows. Leave anyone who unsubscribed out of the import.
- Import the CSV into a sheet. Upload it (SalesScope takes .csv, .tsv and .txt files, not .xlsx), or paste rows from a spreadsheet, and map each column. SalesScope handles heading and preamble rows, flags duplicates, and keeps several emails or phone numbers for one contact.
- Connect your mailboxes. Gmail and Google Workspace connect through Google’s own sign-in, and Outlook.com and Microsoft 365 through Microsoft’s; any other provider connects over SMTP, which sends but doesn’t sync replies. Each Team seat brings 5 mailboxes.
- Recreate your sequences. Copy each step’s subject and body, swap Smartlead’s variables for your sheet’s merge tags, and turn call steps into SalesScope call steps. Set the sending window, weekends and stop-on-reply.
- Let the warm-up ramp run. A new mailbox starts at 20 emails a day and grows 30% a day to the warm-up ceiling, 200 by default. If your mailboxes already have a sending history, an admin can raise the company’s starting point (up to 300 a day) and ceiling (up to 2,000), always under each provider’s limit. Pause each Smartlead campaign before its SalesScope version starts.
Bottom line
Pick Smartlead when the work is volume or agency outreach: unlimited mailboxes, a curated warm-up pool, client workspaces and a recording dialer, at a price that doesn’t grow with headcount. Pick SalesScope when a sales team works one pipeline — calling and emailing the same people from one sheet, following up from Today, and sending under checks and a breaker that are on by default. Unsure? Run one real list through each trial and see which your reps keep using.
