Most people looking for an Apollo alternative fall into one of two groups: those who need Apollo’s data and those who mostly use its sequences. Apollo.io is a go-to-market platform built on a database of 240M+ contacts and 30M+ companies, with sequences, a dialer, deals and enrichment, paid per user with a credit allowance. SalesScope has no prospect database. It is an outbound workspace for leads you already have: one spreadsheet-style sheet that is your CRM, call list and campaign audience, with an inbox and reminders on the same rows.
Quick verdict
- Choose Apollo if finding and enriching prospects is part of the job, or you want sequences, a recording dialer, deals and CRM sync on one data platform, with a free plan to start.
- Choose SalesScope if your leads come from your own lists, events or another data source, and you want each rep working one shared sheet with a call queue, Today’s follow-ups and address checks before every bulk send, for US$39 per person a month or in rupees in India.

Where Apollo is strong
Apollo is ahead of SalesScope in several places.
- Data. A database of 240M+ contacts and 30M+ companies, with enrichment for the records you already have. Apollo verifies emails against its own network as well as the mail server, including on catch-all domains.
- A free plan. Apollo’s free plan has no time limit and includes email campaigns from a Gmail account.
- One platform for the motion. Sequences, a dialer that records and transcribes calls, deals, meetings and, from Professional, workflow automation and AI research, as Apollo’s own pricing write-up describes the tiers.
- Thorough sending protection. Sending policies cover bounce guard, unverified and catch-all addresses, a gradual increase for new mailboxes, SPF, DKIM and DMARC checks, weekly blocklist checks on paid plans, and workspace sending limits.
- CRM sync. Deals sync with Salesforce and HubSpot. SalesScope has no CRM sync today.
Where SalesScope is different
Built for the lists you already have
SalesScope doesn’t sell data, so there are no credits to watch. You bring lists from events, inbound, a data vendor or an old CRM as .csv, .tsv or .txt files, or paste rows from a spreadsheet; the import maps your columns, handles heading rows, flags duplicates and keeps several emails or phone numbers for one contact. A list verification guide covers cleaning a list before it goes out.
One sheet instead of separate places
Apollo spreads the work across search, contacts, accounts, sequences and deals. In SalesScope every contact is a row in one spreadsheet-style sheet with stages, owners and your own columns. Press Dialer and those rows become the call queue; start a campaign and the same rows are its audience; replies, call outcomes and stage changes land on the row’s timeline.
Today and reminders
Each rep starts from Today: the day’s calls, follow-ups, meetings and tasks, overdue first. A booked callback or meeting rings 10 minutes before and again at the time, and call and task steps from a sequence land in the same list.
Checks you can’t skip, and a mailbox breaker
Apollo’s verification policy is a setting; in SalesScope no campaign or sequence can enroll an address nobody has checked — syntax, typos, disposable and role addresses, the domain’s mail servers and your own bounce and unsubscribe history. It checks the address and its domain rather than probing the mailbox. Both tools pause on bounces. SalesScope judges each mailbox on the past 7 days: with at least 50 sends and a bounce rate past the workspace’s limit (5% by default), it goes on a 48-hour hold, its active sequences pause and its owner is emailed, and they stay paused until the rest of their audience has been validated and someone resumes them. See deliverability guardrails.
More mailboxes per seat, in dollars or rupees
Team includes 5 mailboxes per person against one on Apollo Basic, and each mailbox shows one number for what it can still send today, under the warm-up ramp and the provider’s ceiling (Gmail 500 a day, Google Workspace 1,500 by default, Outlook.com 300). Companies in India pay in rupees: ₹1,999 per person a month on Team, before GST.
Pricing compared
List prices as of October 2026, before tax. Apollo publishes its per-seat prices for annual billing; monthly billing costs more per month, Apollo’s pricing page notes. Organization needs at least 3 users. Apollo’s seats include a credit allowance for data that SalesScope doesn’t offer. Both sides are shown billed yearly; SalesScope Team is US$390 per person a year, or US$39 a month billed monthly.
A team of 3, per year
- SalesScope Team: 3 × US$390 = US$1,170, with 15 mailboxes and 250,000 contacts.
- Apollo Basic: 3 × US$49 × 12 = US$1,764.
- Apollo Professional: 3 × US$79 × 12 = US$2,844.
- Apollo Organization: 3 × US$119 × 12 = US$4,284.
A team of 10, per year
- SalesScope Team: 10 × US$390 = US$3,900, with 50 mailboxes. Company (a workspace per team or client, no contact limit): 10 × US$690 = US$6,900.
- Apollo Basic: 10 × US$49 × 12 = US$5,880.
- Apollo Professional: 10 × US$79 × 12 = US$9,480.
- Apollo Organization: 10 × US$119 × 12 = US$14,280.
Read plainly: per seat, SalesScope Team costs less than any paid Apollo plan, but the comparison leaves out what Apollo’s price includes: contact data and a dialer that records. If you would buy data elsewhere, add that cost to SalesScope’s side. If your team only needs light prospecting, Apollo’s free plan costs nothing. For one person, SalesScope Solo is US$190 a year.
Switching from Apollo to SalesScope
- Export your contacts. In Apollo, go to Search, then People, filter to saved contacts or a list, select them and export a CSV. Apollo’s export guide says exporting saved contacts uses no credits, while net-new people with a verified email use one each. Leave anyone who unsubscribed out of the import.
- Import the CSV into a sheet. Upload it (SalesScope takes .csv, .tsv and .txt files, not .xlsx), or paste rows from a spreadsheet, and map each column. Duplicates are flagged, and several emails or phone numbers can stay with one contact.
- Connect your mailboxes. Gmail and Google Workspace connect through Google’s own sign-in, and Outlook.com and Microsoft 365 through Microsoft’s; any other provider connects over SMTP, which sends but doesn’t sync replies. Each Team seat brings 5 mailboxes.
- Recreate your sequences. Copy each email step’s subject and body, swap Apollo’s variables for your sheet’s merge tags, and keep calls and tasks as call and task steps. Set the sending window, weekends and stop-on-reply.
- Let the warm-up ramp run. A new mailbox starts at 20 emails a day and grows 30% a day to the warm-up ceiling, 200 by default. If your mailboxes already have a sending history, an admin can raise the company’s starting point (up to 300 a day) and ceiling (up to 2,000), always under each provider’s limit. Pause each Apollo sequence before its SalesScope version starts.
Bottom line
Pick Apollo when data is part of the job: finding people, enriching records and working them with sequences, a recording dialer and deals in one place, with a free plan to start. Pick SalesScope when you already have your lists and want a sales team working them from one sheet — calling, emailing and following up from Today — with checks you can’t skip and a breaker on by default, at a lower price per seat. Unsure? Run one real list through each trial and see which your reps keep using.
